What to Expect

You're here to receive the work
and to be an active part of it.

Understanding the structure of a session helps you arrive present, not guessing what's about to happen.

The First Visit · 2 Hours

We take our time getting oriented.

The first session is longer than the rest. That's intentional. There's no rushing to the table, we start by understanding your history, your patterns, and what you're actually working with.

1

Intake Conversation (~30 min)

We sit down and talk. I want to understand your history, not just the physical complaints, but the context. How long have you been carrying this? What have you already tried? What's your relationship to your body like? This isn't just information gathering, it's the beginning of the work.

2

Hands-On Work & Movement (~90 min)

Most of your session time is here. For the majority of people, this is 80–90 minutes on the table, slow, deliberate hands-on contact that works with the nervous system directly, not against it. You stay clothed throughout. Your attention and verbal feedback are active parts of the process, not optional.

Depending on what we discover in the intake, some sessions begin with 15–20 minutes observing how you move before we go to the table. Some stay primarily movement-based. Most are predominantly hands-on bodywork. The proportion is shaped by what your body is actually calling for, not a fixed protocol, but the table is the core of almost every session.

3

Integration & Close (~10 min)

After hands-on work, we pause. You'll have time to feel what's different before you stand up. We talk briefly about what we noticed, and I may give you one or two simple things to pay attention to between sessions, not exercises, just awareness cues.

  • A process that builds over multiple sessions
What This Isn't

Let's be clear about the boundaries

Practical Details

What to know before you arrive

What to wear: Athletic shorts. Skin access to the legs and back is often needed for cupping or instrument-assisted work, and shorts make that straightforward without needing to undress.
What to bring: Just yourself.
Communication during the session: Your feedback is essential. If something feels unclear, uncomfortable, or surprisingly interesting, say it. Silence is less useful than honesty. There are no wrong answers.
After the session: Some people feel immediately lighter. Some feel a wave of fatigue. Some notice shifts over the following 24–48 hours. All of these are normal responses to nervous system work. Drink water, move gently, and pay attention.
How many sessions? This varies significantly by person. Some people see meaningful change in 3–5 sessions. For deeply ingrained patterns, more sessions build deeper results. We'll talk honestly about what makes sense for you.
Follow-Up Sessions · 90 Minutes

The process deepens over time.

Follow-up sessions build on the foundation of the first visit. We spend less time on intake and more time in the body. Each session informs the next, as your nervous system learns, the work gets more refined and more effective.

The pattern of sessions is flexible. Some people come weekly while doing active work; others come monthly for maintenance. We figure out what fits your life and your process.

Corrective Training · 90 Minutes

From the table into how you move.

Corrective Training sessions translate what we discover in bodywork into your actual movement patterns. If you train, exercise, or simply want to understand how habitual movement is reinforcing your tension, this is where that work happens.

These sessions are more active, more standing, moving, and practicing, and less time on the table. They pair well with regular bodywork sessions, or can stand alone.
